Sales on the Rise at Ritter's Frozen Custard
mellen & jayne has played an integral part in increasing annual sales for the Ritter's Frozen Custard franchise.
Weak marketing, POP and location visuals, while not necessarily hurting sales was not helping them, either.
mellen & jayne began working with Ritter's last summer to strengthen their brand and image, and the results
have been nothing short of spectacular.
A visual overhaul to the stores themselves was one of the first priorities. m&j was charged with designing
the new menu boards, window graphics and signage and once completed, doing the necessary customization
for each location.
A lot of people simply saying they like the new design, stand out pictures. A couple of guests saying that they thought they were more "user friendly," easier to order from, which I completely agree. They make it easier to find what you are looking for."

At the same time, the process of rebranding Ritter's through new POP and promotional materials began. In store graphics, monthly promotions, and collateral materials were and continue to be revamped to fall in line with the more exciting and appealing new concept that is now Ritter's.
The early results are in. According to Abigail Byrom, Marketing Manager at TRUFOODS LLC (the parent
company of Ritter's as well as three other restaurant franchises), "Sales are up at least 15% overall. Our cake sales have increased even more dramatically — one store told me that they used to sell just a few cakes per month, and now they cannot make them fast enough!"
